How do I set up a central media library for my home?

Q. How do I set up a central media library from which I can access iTunes, DVR hard drive and the Internet from any TV in my house?

Need/Want:
1-Access iTunes from anywhere, wirelessly (all our music in on a separate driveânot NAS though)
2-Access the Internet from any of my TVâs with a mainstream browser
3-Need to have DVR capabilities, ideally centralized and accessible from all TVs
4-Wirelessly project sound to multiple speakers

I have looked into Apple TV and Sonos, but neither fill all these criteria. I am open to multiple devices, or custom configuration of dedicated PCs to do this.

I appreciate your suggestions.

I need a strong answer to a question about Java?
Q. I can compile java applications through dos, but can't run them using the java command. The applets function properly when I write and compile them with HTML script tags. I can't run a document through dos with the java command I get an error warning. Please explain what I am doing wrong. I don't need a quick answer or Reference. I need a strong explanation. I want the applications to function when I use the java command in dos.

A. You should be able to run the applet from the command line. I am guessing you are trying to launch the applet already embedded in a webpage. You cannot do this from the command line. Just click on the file. If you really want to use the command line try something like
-firefox myapplet.html (this would be on linux, not sure about windows)
